Sharon built on her anthropology degree at the University of New Brunswick by becoming a registered massage therapist at the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage. A lifelong animal lover, this naturally led to an animal massage therapy specialization from the Northwest School of Animal Massage. Sharon has been practicing animal massage, including Reiki and other healing modalities, for over 10 years.
Since then, Sharon became a registered veterinary technician, and has worked her way into a management position. She has a strong HR background and hands-on experience developing policy and procedures. Sharon is well-organized and trained in conflict resolution. She manages 10 employees, training them to be as solution-oriented as her.
Sharon is active in the animal welfare community, regularly fostering pets from the SPCA, volunteering and fundraising. Sharon is the co-creator and director of a popular annual burlesque event called SNAP! (Snapping Garters for Animal Welfare).
